Amanda Banham is best known for her ceramic fired houses and the stories she tells about the inhabitants on her Instagram account.
Come and join us for this fun, mindful workshop where you will learn the art of Sgraffito on a pre-made little house, you will then make your own house from scratch. Amanda will guide you through the house building process and you can add stamps and colours to your houses and make them as simple or intricate as you like.
The houses will then be fired in Amanda’s kiln before being returned to Duck Duck Goose for collection. Please note that the houses we make in the workshop will be kiln-fired as pictured rather than the Raku-fired and crackled finish in many of Amanda’s creations. This is a more extensive process not suited to a first workshop.
The workshop cost includes all materials and firings as well as a coffee or tea from the café upon arrival.
This is a wonderful opportunity to make unique and personalised gifts or to recreate your own home or memorable house for yourself!
Parking is available onsite and there is the opportunity to stay and enjoy lunch (at your own cost) after the workshop has finished, it is advisable to book this with the café in advance.
(Please note that tickets are non-refundable)
